Order of Myths opens July 25th, 2008 (limited)

Though this documentary seems to center on the Mardi Gras celebrations in Mobile, Alabama, THE ORDER OF MYTHS actually focuses on the segregated nature of those events and the still pervasive racism in the Southern city. Margaret Brown, the filmmaker behind BE HERE TO LOVE ME: A FILM ABOUT TOWNES VAN ZANDT, directs this revealing film.

Bottle Shock opens August 6th, 2008 (limited)

Fans of the intelligent, oenophile humor of SIDEWAYS will find much to like in this Sundance favorite based on a true story. It’s 1976, and a British man in Paris (Alan Rickman) is looking for a way to boost sales at his failing wine shop. But his discovery of an impressive vintage from California might change more than just the fate of his business in this film that also stars Chris Pine, Bill Pullman, and Freddy Rodriguez.

Midnight Meat Train opens August 1st, 2008 (wide)

A photographer (ALIAS’s Bradley Cooper) gets far more than he imagines when he tries to capture the grit and grime of the city. While taking pictures of the subway, he encounters Mahogany (Vinnie Jones, SNATCH), a vicious killer who preys on subway riders. Ryuhei Kitamura (VERSUS) directs this adaptation of a Clive Barker short story.
