Surfer, Dude - Trailer

Synopsis Steve Addington, long-boarding, herb-totting, soul-surfer, returns to Malibu for the summer to find his hometown vibe corrupted. New sponsorship demands the surfer expand into Virtual-Reality Video Games and Reality TV. Unwilling to participate in this new digital-reality, Addington chooses to stay earthen and analog, surfing majestic So-Cal waves. But in a biblical twist-of-fate, the waves go flat and stay flat. Out of money, his sponsored expense-accounts canceled, betrayed by his buddies, the waveless Addington is backed into a harsh corner. He must endure the insanity of the wave drought or give into the Man and his reality-altering machines and pre-packaged amusements. Aided and abetted by his manager (Woody Harrelson), his mentor (Scott Glenn), his guardian-angel (Willie Nelson) and his summer lover, (Alexie Gilmore), Addington (Matthew McConaughey) has a high-quality chance of keeping his cool, maintaining his mellow and bringing harmony to his fractured and waveless world. It won’t be easy.

Milk - Trailer 1

Academy Award nominee Gus Van Sant directs Academy Award winner Sean Penn as gay rights icon Harvey Milk. Mr. Milk (1930-1978) was an activist and politician, and the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in America; in 1977, he was voted to the city supervisors’ board of San Francisco. The following year, both he and the city’s mayor George Moscone were shot to death by another city supervisor, Dan White. Mr. Milk was previously the subject of the Academy Award-winning documentary feature “The Times of Harvey Milk,” but “Milk” – filmed on location in San Francisco – is the first non-documentary feature to explore the man’s life and career.

Real Time - Trailer

REAL TIME is about a hit man (Randy Quaid) who gives a compulsive gambler (Jay Baruchel) one hour to live. The movie takes place in real time and its ultimate subject is what we do with the time we have in this world. The film begins when Andy, a hyperactive compulsive gambler, is plucked off the street by the calm yet imposing Reuban. Reuban tells Andy that he’s been dispatched to kill him. Andy doesn’t believe him at first. He figures it’s just another one of Reuban’s scare tactics to get him to pay off his gambling debt. After a few punches to the head and a gun held to his face, Andy finally gets it. Reuban is really going to kill him - but not before Andy gets an hour to do whatever he’d like before he dies. Reuban is a little surprised when Andy chooses to spend his hour looking for a hooker, seeking revenge on a former boss and trying to find his old Playdough barber shop toy at Grandma’s. But as we move closer to the deadline, we see there is more to Andy than we first thought and Reuban turns out to have a secret or two of his own. REAL TIME is produced by January Films, Devonshire Productions and APB Pictures. The film is financed by Serendipity Point Films, Telefilm Canada, Corus Entertainment, Astral Media, Ontario Media Development Corporation and Rogers Telefund. Maximum Films willdistribute the film in Canada and act as worldwide sales agent.
